The emergence of deep hole drills has brought great convenience to our life and work, so how do we maintain them in our daily lives?

 1. The protective equipment should be complete, and the drilling machine base should be installed firmly and smoothly; it is forbidden to wear gloves, scarves and hand-pinch cotton yarn pads to hold the workpiece during operation.

2. The selection of the amount of drilling tools should be reasonable, and the deep hole drill should not be pressed too tightly to avoid damage to the deep hole drill.

3. Clamping taper shank deep hole drills should be pressed on the top with soft metal and should not be touched. When using the drill chuck, it should be tightened with a special wrench, and the housing should not be tightened.

4. The drilling workpiece should be firmly clamped. If small and thin pieces can be installed with pliers, it is not allowed to drill directly with the workpiece in hand.

5. It is forbidden to touch the deep hole drill bit and the workpiece during rotation, and the thin plate deep hole drill bit should be grounded when drilling thin plates.

6. When adjusting the height of the bench drill, the hardwood should be cushioned under the main shaft, and the main shaft should be lifted and adjusted. It does not allow sudden relaxation and drop of the impact and damage to the drill press.

7. After the operation, turn off the power, the drilling machine must be cleaned, the moving parts should be lubricated, and the site should be cleaned after get off work.
